Finding Our Way Home -
Contemplative Practices for Living and Dying

When love, gratitude and awareness of our physical mortality inform our lives we find the strength to be with life as it is. We can share our joy and courage and bring sustainable presence to our own life and the lives of those around us.

Our time together includes meditations and stories from the world’s wisdom traditions, journaling, discussion, poetry and imagery to bring us closer to the mystery of our lives and touch into what the poet Rilke called the “two great gifts that often go unopened; love and death.”
We’ll explore our personal relationship to living and dying and practice skillful means for developing stability, joy and presence in the face of life’s great mysteries. Together we will investigate the ways in which the truth of our physical mortality can infuse our lives with greater kindness, courage and clarity and allow us to offer sustained presence to others.

Dreaming Under the Summer Sky

Dreaming under the Summer Sky

Winter is just a memory. The snow has melted from the mountain sides and the rivers and streams are full of fast moving water. In the heat of summer we can tend our dreams in the same way we tend our gardens; observing new growth, watering and mulching, encouraging dream wisdom to flower in the soil of our waking lives.

In our time together we will explore the images in our dreams as a personal language expressing individual and universal wisdom, individual and universal concerns and themes. We’ll use a variety of techniques to enhance conversation with our dreams and the world around us and practice ways to see how our dream images relate to our waking life- so that both are enriched and honored.
